Terms of use

These terms describe the conditions under which Workers makes its catalog and guides available on workers.dev. By using the site you agree to them.

Acceptance

Using the site means you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the site.

What the site provides

Workers is an editorial directory of free desktop utilities. Each catalog entry is a review written by our editors, plus a link to the software's own publisher page. We do not distribute software binaries ourselves; download links point to the publisher.

Accuracy of listings

We update listings as software changes, but publishers can and do change licenses, features, or bundled behaviour between our reviews. Verify the current version and license on the publisher's page before installing anything.

Third-party software and services

All software listed is the property of its respective publisher. Trademarks, screenshots, and product names are used under fair-use for editorial commentary. We do not endorse the vendors themselves; we describe the software as we found it.

Disclaimer of warranties

The site is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the site will be available at all times or free of errors.

Limitation of liability

Workers and its editors are not liable for any damages, direct or indirect, arising from the use of the site or from any software downloaded through links on the site. You are responsible for evaluating any software before installing it.

Acceptable use

Do not scrape the site at a rate that interferes with normal service, do not attempt to bypass technical controls, and do not copy substantial portions of our editorial content without permission. Reasonable citation with attribution is fine.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any dispute arising from use of the site will be resolved in the courts of Melbourne unless otherwise required by consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with the effective date. Last update: 2026-01-15.
